Wine Tasting
Twenty-seven members gathered at St Edmunds Hall for a wine tasting presented by Stephen Nunn.
A choice of four white wines and four red wines were on offer from various countries around the world. A Chablis and Gewurztraminer were two of the whites, a Rioja Reserva and Haut Medoc, two of the reds. Steve gave a description about each wine. A list of the wines having details of the price paid, where they were bought and a column to give a mark out of ten with the person who had the same or nearest score to Steve won a bottle of Cremant de Loire sparkling wine. Steve’s score was 63 and Graham Firmage had the nearest with 62. All the wines were exceptional which reflected in Steve’s scoring.
The evening concluded with mince pies and sausage rolls and a raffle was drawn.
Thank you, Steve, for the excellent choice of wines, the best yet.
