Downham Market Twinning Club
Race Night Friday 17th March
A fun and entertaining evening, enjoyed by thirty members and friends at Wimbotsham Village Hall.
Richard Aisthorpe was Compare for the dog races.
Laid out on the floor was a long track divided into squares and the six wooden numbered dogs at one end. A dice was thrown to determine which dog moved and the second dice how many moves. There was a twist if landing on the six square. If the dice thrown was an even number, then the second dice thrown dictated the number of moves. An odd number meant it was going back the number of moves.
We had a break in the races for Fish and Chips supplied by The Chequers Pub.
A fifty/fifty raffle was held.
Thank you Richard and Pat for a wonderful evening.
